New measures for Port Security Charge Electronic Coupon
With the development of E-Commerce, Hongkong International Terminals Limited (HIT) has come into mutual agreement with the Hong Kong Shippers’ Council and well communicated with stakeholders, to implement new measures for Port Security Charge Electronic Coupon (eCoupon).
With effect from 0800hrs on 13 December 2015, Asia Container Terminals Limited (ACT), COSCO-HIT Terminals (HK) Limited (CHT) and HIT will only accept new eCoupon or E-transaction to settle Port Security Charge.
To allow smooth transaction, terminals will accept manual coupon, prevailing eCoupon and new eCoupon for the period 16 November to 12 December 2015; besides, new pre-printed eCoupons will be available at M-Kee from 7 December 2015 to 30 June 2016.
For the unused manual coupons, that can be refunded at M-Kee from 13 December 2015 to 31 March 2016, while OnePort will take over this refund service from 31 March 2016 onwards.
