The purpose of the charter is to ensure that all business activities at the terminal are carried out in a manner that promotes the highest standards of safety and health for employees, contractors and visitors.

HIT Managing Director Ivor Chow, and Operations Services Delivery Supervisor, Wu Kin-fai, acting as Employee Representative, signed the document together with Executive Director of the Occupational Safety and Healthy Council, Tang Wah-shing, and Assistant Commissioner for Labour of the Labour Department, Tso Sing-hin.
